I'm partnering with a well-established Canberra organisation seeking an experienced Work Health, Safety & Environment (WHSE) Business Partner to support leaders, influence safety outcomes and drive a proactive safety culture across the business.
This is a hands-on partnering role where you'll work closely with operational leaders, providing practical advice, managing risk, supporting investigations and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves WHSE advisory support, risk management, investigations, training, audits and policy development.
What's Involved?
✅ Partner with leaders to drive WHSE outcomes
✅ Conduct risk assessments, inspections and investigations
✅ Deliver WHSE training and awareness activities
✅ Support compliance, audit and continuous improvement initiatives
✅ Develop and improve WHSE policies, procedures and systems
✅ Build strong relationships across the business and influence positive safety behaviours
✅ Analyse WHSE data and identify trends and improvement opportunities
About You
You'll bring:
- Experience in a WHSE advisory, coordinator or business partnering role
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles
- The ability to influence stakeholders and coach leaders
- Experience managing incidents, hazards and corrective actions
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to workplace safety
Qualifications in WHS or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
