A Victorian Government statutory authority is seeking a Senior P&C Business Partner to join its People and Culture team. This organisation plays an important role in protecting and supporting the education sector across Victoria and is committed to creating a high-performing, people-first culture. Working closely with senior leaders, this position offers the opportunity to influence strategic workforce outcomes while contributing to a purpose-driven organisation focused on making a meaningful impact.

Your new role

  • Partner with senior leaders and business units to provide strategic and operational HR advice across the employee lifecycle
  • Lead workforce planning, organisational design and talent management initiatives that align with business priorities
  • Provide expert Employee Relations and Industrial Relations advice, supporting leaders through complex workplace matters
  • Support performance management, conduct matters, grievances, investigations and dispute resolution processes
  • Deliver workforce insights, reporting and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making
  • Drive succession planning, talent development and leadership capability initiatives across designated client groups
  • Lead and support organisational change, restructures and workforce transformation activities
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen organisational culture, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion
  • Coach and influence leaders to create high-performing, inclusive and psychologically safe workplaces

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience providing strategic HR, ER and IR advice within complex and preferably unionised environments
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation, industrial instruments and workplace relations frameworks
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters, organisational change and workforce restructures
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and executives to align people strategies with organisational objectives
  • Strong workforce planning, organisational design and talent management capability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, coaching and relationship-building skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • Experience within government or highly regulated environments is highly regarded
