People and Culture Manager, up to 170k plus super, 1 day in the office

This organisation is a high-growth, purpose-driven business operating within a complex and highly regulated environment. With significant expansion underway, including mergers and acquisitions, the business is focused on building scalable infrastructure, strengthening compliance, and embedding high-performing, values-led culture across its workforce.

Your new role

Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for driving the People & Culture function across strategy, operations, compliance, and workforce transformation.
You will play a critical role in supporting organisational growth while building fit-for-purpose people frameworks and systems.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and executing People & Culture strategy aligned to growth and integration activity.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor across HR, IR/ER, WHS, and culture matters
  • Driving HR transformation across systems, processes, and workforce capability
  • Overseeing workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and performance frameworks
  • Leading compliance across SCHADS Award, Fair Work, NDIS, and WHS requirements
  • Supporting organisational change, M&A integration, and workforce alignment
  • Managing and developing a small HR team and working closely with cross-functional leaders
  • Driving employee engagement, retention, and leadership capability initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced senior HR leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and brings a strong balance of strategy and delivery.

You will demonstrate:
  • Proven experience in senior HR leadership roles
  • Strong ER/IR capability and knowledge of Australian employment legislation (SCHADS highly regarded)
  • Background in complex, regulated industries (e.g. community services, healthcare, NFP or similar)
  • Experience building or transforming HR functions in growth or change environments
  • Strong exposure to WHS, compliance, and risk management frameworks
  • Experience with HR systems implementation (e.g. Employment Hero or similar)
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate across ambiguity and change
