Your new company

Our client is a growing, member-focused organisation that supports its stakeholders through risk management, advisory and insurance-related services. Having experienced significant growth in recent years, the organisation is entering an exciting phase where it is looking to strengthen its people practices, culture and internal frameworks to support future success.

As a newly created role, this is an opportunity for an experienced HR professional to make a genuine impact by partnering directly with executive leadership and helping shape the organisation's people strategy.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Human Resources Business Partner will act as the organisation's HR subject-matter expert, providing both strategic and operational support across the employee life cycle.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a standalone environment and enjoys building people frameworks, processes and capability from the ground up. You will play a key role in establishing structure, supporting leaders, and helping embed a positive and high-performing culture as the organisation continues to evolve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to provide trusted HR advice and guidance.
  • Develop and implement practical people policies, frameworks and processes that support business objectives.
  • Establish clear behavioural expectations and contribute to ongoing culture development initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and support to leaders on employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and workplace matters.
  • Drive improvements across key people processes, including onboarding, performance development and employee life cycle activities.
  • Support organisational change and help leaders navigate evolving ways of working.
  • Prepare HR updates, reports and insights for executive and board-level stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support the development of internal staff members with exposure to HR responsibilities.
  • Ensure HR practices align with relevant employment legislation and best practice.

What you'll need to succeed

You are a confident and pragmatic HR professional who is comfortable operating autonomously and influencing senior stakeholders. You enjoy creating a structure where it doesn't already exist and have a track record of building practical HR solutions that add value to an organisation.

To be successful, you will ideally bring:
  • Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor capacity.
  • Previous experience working in a standalone, greenfield or growing organisational environment.
  • Strong capability across employee relations, performance management, policy development and organisational culture initiatives.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior leaders and executives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
  • The confidence to challenge constructively and drive positive change.

What you'll get in return

  • Opportunity to establish and shape an HR function from the ground up.
  • Direct partnership and exposure to the CEO and executive leadership.
  • Ability to make a visible impact on culture, people practices and organisational effectiveness.
  • Flexible working arrangements with a strong hybrid/WFH offering.
  • Part-time opportunity (approximately 3-4 days per week).
  • Initial contract opportunity with the potential to influence long-term people strategy.
