Your new company

We are seeking an A03 HR Administrator to work for a State Government organisation based in Central Brisbane. This position is open to an ASAP start and it's a Permanent, Full-time opportunity.

Your new role

As a HR Administrator, you will support day-to-day HR operations across the entire employee journey, from onboarding through to departure. You will provide efficient, discreet administrative support while ensuring HR processes run smoothly and accurately.

Key aspects of the role include:
  • Preparing and issuing employment contracts and related documentation
  • Assisting with payroll processes and ensuring data accuracy
  • Supporting recruitment activities, including coordinating interviews and appointments
  • Maintaining employee records and HR systems, and assisting with reporting and data analysis
  • Administering learning platforms, including setting up new users and assigning required training
  • Delivering induction sessions and providing guidance to staff on HR systems
  • Responding to HR-related queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and contributing to ongoing enhancements

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a detail-oriented and organised professional who can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with confidence. In addition, you will bring:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new systems such as payroll and learning platforms (knowledge of Aurion and Percipio is highly regarded)
  • Confidence working with data, including maintaining records and producing reports
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset and sound problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of HR functions, including recruitment and payroll processes
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
