Immediate start for temporary contract with gold owner/operator for a FIFO Senior HR Business Partner.
This opportunity will suit a commercially astute and hands-on Senior HR Business Partner who thrives in an operational mining environment and enjoys partnering closely with leaders to drive performance, capability and culture.
Our client, a well-established gold mining owner/operator, is seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join their site-based leadership team on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent opportunity. Offering the flexibility of either a 4:3 or 8:6 FIFO roster, this role requires an immediate start and provides the opportunity to make a genuine impact across a high-performing operation.
Reporting to the Perth-based HR Superintendent, you will act as a trusted advisor across a broad range of people and organisational initiatives, partnering closely with the Mining General Manager, to support retention, build capability, influence decision-making and support the successful delivery of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing strategic and operational HR support to site leadership teams.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing leaders to enhance capability, performance and employee engagement.
- Influencing and supporting business leaders through complex people-related matters and organisational change.
- Managing high-level and complex employee relations matters, investigations and case management activities.
- Designing, developing and implementing strategic workforce and people initiatives aligned to business objectives.
- Partnering with stakeholders to drive talent, succession, workforce planning and leadership development programs.
- Collaborating across site and corporate functions to ensure consistent people practices and outcomes.
- Supporting contractor management activities and workforce planning and resourcing.
- Contributing to a positive, high-performing and safety-focused workplace culture.
To be successful in your application, you will bring significant experience within mining, resources or other heavy industry environments, coupled with a strong track record of partnering with operational leaders in complex workforce settings.
You will demonstrate exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage credibly with stakeholders at all levels. Previous FIFO experience is preferred, as is proven capability for managing complex employee relations matters and delivering strategic people initiatives within operational environments.
Ideally, you will also possess experience working with contractor workforces and supporting contractor management frameworks within mining or resource-based operations.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading gold mining owner/operator on a FIFO basis. An attractive FIFO roster of either 4:3 or 8:6 is on offer, along with the opportunity to contribute to key business initiatives and partner directly with site leadership.
This position requires an immediate start to allow for a handover, and the role offers the potential to transition from a temporary assignment into a permanent long-term opportunity.
