Your new role
You will step into an AO5‑equivalent People and Culture Advisor role. The position provides core P&C administration and first level HR advisory support.
Key duties include:
- Managing P&C inboxes and responding to enquiries.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and coordinating with the external payroll and LMS provider.
- Reviewing payroll reports and preparing workforce data.
- Overseeing onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Supporting recruitment, including role descriptions, evaluations and job advertisements.
- Coordinating training and providing committee secretariat support.
- Offering first level advice on legislation, awards, agreements, policy, recruitment, performance and workforce planning.
- Contributing to policy updates, process improvement and P&C project work.
What you'll need to succeed - Minimum two years of experience in a P&C or HR role.
- Strong administration and organisation skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Clear written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
- Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office. Aurion experience is desirable.
- Understanding of Queensland public sector employment frameworks.
- HR qualifications are desirable.
