AO5 HR Advisor contract role supporting a Queensland Government team with HR, recruitment, and workforce
Your new company
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join a large Queensland Government department on a contract through to 30 October 2026.
Supporting a technical and operational business area, you will play a key role in delivering practical HR advisory and workforce support, ensuring efficient and compliant resource management across the branch.
Your new role
In this varied position, you will work closely with stakeholders to provide day-to-day HR support across a range of activities, including:
- Providing advice on HR policies, procedures, and legislative frameworks
- Supporting recruitment and selection processes and workforce administration
- Managing shared inbox enquiries and delivering timely, consistent responses
- Assisting with resource management operations across the team
- Producing workforce reports and supporting basic data analysis
- Preparing correspondence and documentation
- Contributing to general administrative and project support activities
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring prior experience in a HR advisory or workforce support role, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting recruitment and workforce administration processes
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with SAP, Excel, and reporting tools such as Power BI will be beneficial.
